Lecture: Astrophotography Part 1: Deep Sky Astro Imaging


About this event :

Paul Jenkins renowned deep-sky astrophotographer and society member will give an informal talk that outlines what astrophotography is all about and why you should take up deep-sky astrophotography as a hobby,  from imaging constellations using a camera lens up, to using CCD camera and filters, etc.

Note: Photoshop techniques & processing skills will not be discussed at this talk and will be held at a more appropriate workshop event, date to be confirmed.

If time is available at the end of the talk Paul will go through a simple process using Pixinsight, image processing software.

Note: Astrophotography Part II: “A Guide to Planetary Imaging”  will be given by Keith Johnson on the 20th April 2014.
