7th Kielder Forest Spring Star Camp

The 7th Kielder Forest Spring Star Camp will take place between 21st to 25th March 2012 with the main day being Saturday 24th March at Kielder Castle.

All activities on the main day are free.

The costs are as follows:

  • £13 for a hook-up pitch
  • £11 for a non hook-up pitch

Prices are per pitch per night.

Vendors and speakers will be announced shortly.

Kielder Forest Star Camp is organised by Sunderland Astronomical Society in the Spring and the Kielder Observatory Astronomical Society during the Autumn. Both events offer five nights under what the CPRE say is the darkest sky in England.

Veterans and novices are welcome to attend and all you need to do is follow our red light rules and enjoy a unique experience in the last great wilderness of England.

The Star Camps are based at Kielder campsite. There is a minimum two night stay and fees must be paid up front.

  • Spring star camp - takes place from 2nd - 6th March 2011
  • Autumn star camp - takes place from 26th - 30th October 2011

Information : 6th Kielder Forest Spring Star Camp

Star Camp will be based at Kielder Campsite and, for the fifth year in succession, we have kept pitch fees at £12 per night for an electric hook-up and £10 without (per pitch). There is also a minimum two night stay and fees must be paid up front.

Bookings are now being taken.

The main day will be on Saturday 5th March at the 18th century Kielder Castle. All activities on the main day will be free.
