PowHill Dark Sky Site

The Powhill  dark sky site (car park & picnic area)  is approximately 26 miles from the our Cygnus Observatory and is located due South of the our Millshileld Dark sky site, basically otherside of Derwent Resevoir

The Powhill site is a fairly good dark sky site, with a few more tree restrictions as compared to Millshield site.

Members would be advised to bring dew control (e.g. dew controller and straps or 12v hairdryer) as it can sometimes get a bit moist in the early hours.
